Inferno Ends 2017-2018 Season Ranked #3 In Kansas

In our final season, Inferno finished ranked #3 in Kansas. Although rankings don't define a team completely, they are a great way of discovering the level of competition they play throughout the year. And, like we say, Inferno always chooses to swim in the deep end of the pool.

Congratulations to all our players, especially the great group of 2018 seniors. And, thanks to all the players and parents who have made the Inferno family the absolute best girls soccer program over the past decade!

The Inferno Class of 2018 has become the largest group to earn college scholarships in the history of the program. Once again this year, every player who pursued a college soccer career was awarded a scholarship for next fall.

Special appreciation also goes to our 2018 teammates who have chosen to finish their career with their high school team next spring. Thanks to Delaney Kramer and Helene Bjornsen for being such an important part of Inferno. Delaney will be attending the University of Kansas while Helene will return home to Oslo, Norway to finish her secondary education. It should be noted that both are excellent players who could have definitely played beyond high school if they wanted to.

  • Brooklyn Armbruster, Shawnee Heights High School - Johnson County, NJCAA
  • Morgan Carranza, Topeka High School - Johnson County, NJCAA

A huge "well done!" to the Inferno girls who competed in the Kansas Rush Wichita Tournament this past weekend.

This team has accomplished so many great things this fall and everyone is very proud of each and every one of them!

Jackie Ireland Commits to Friends University

Inferno defender, Jackie Ireland, #20 (2018), has given her verbal commitment to play soccer for Coach Brent Hobson at Friends University in Wichita next fall.

Jackie joined Inferno in 2016. Since then, she has continued to develop into a solid defender that can also play in the midfield and forward.

Dave says, "Jackie is skilled and smart. While she is most comfortable on the back line, we have moved her into the midfield and even forward when the situation calls for it. As a defender, Jackie is good at closing space. Her height allows her to see the field and play the ball out of the air. As a teammate, you won’t find one more positive and supportive."

A senior at Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, Jackie will help lead her team to another great spring season.

Jackie is the ninth Class of 2018 Inferno team member to commit so far this fall. Once again, this year, all Inferno senior class players seeking college scholarships have succeeded in reaching their goal.

Congratulations to all!
